Product Overview
Hydrated Lime Powder, chemically known as Calcium Hydroxide (Ca(OH)₂) — also called slaked lime or portlandite — is produced by reacting quicklime (CaO) with a precisely controlled quantity of water in a process called slaking: CaO + H₂O → Ca(OH)₂. The result is a stable, white, finely divided powder that is highly alkaline (pH ~12.4), safer to handle than quicklime, and immediately ready for use without any further processing.
Unlike quicklime, hydrated lime does not generate dangerous heat on contact with water, making it the preferred choice for on-site operators in water treatment plants, construction sites, and agricultural settings where controlled, safe dosing is critical. CHEMICALLANE manufactures Hydrated Lime from high-purity quicklime feedstock under ISO 9001:2015 certified slaking and milling controls — available in Industrial, Agricultural, and Food Grade variants.
Every batch is in-house tested for Ca(OH)₂ content, free moisture, MgO, fineness, and pH before dispatch. Certificate of Analysis and full MSDS are provided with every consignment as standard.
Unlike quicklime, Ca(OH)₂ is fully slaked — no exothermic heat risk on contact with water. Safer for on-site dosing, manual handling, and direct agricultural use.
Industrial, Agricultural, and Food Grade (IS:1288 compliant) — select the right purity and heavy metal specification for your regulated application.
Factory-to-plant supply covering Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Chennai, Ahmedabad, Ludhiana, and 100+ cities with moisture-safe HDPE bag dispatch.
CoA, MSDS, TDS, and GST billing with every shipment — essential for ETP compliance reports, FSSAI audits, and construction project quality records.
Product Grades
We supply three distinct grades of Hydrated Lime — each formulated to meet the purity, safety, and regulatory requirements of its target application.

100 mesh fineness for uniform dispersion in water dosing systems, mortar mixing, and soil spreading equipment.
High purity ensures maximum alkalinity delivery per kg consumed — reducing overall reagent cost in treatment applications.
Ultra-low moisture prevents caking, maintains free-flowing powder characteristics, and avoids dosing system blockages.
Strongly alkaline — highly effective for pH correction, heavy metal precipitation, and neutralization applications.
Hydrated lime is the stable, ready-to-use form of calcium alkali. It dissolves partially in water to form limewater (Ca²⁺ + 2OH⁻), providing controlled alkalinity for pH correction, softening, and precipitation reactions.

Request DocumentsWhy Industries Choose Hydrated Lime
Hydrated lime is the right choice when you need consistent alkalinity, safe on-site handling, and a single product that works across water treatment, construction, and agriculture.
Pre-slaked and stable — does not generate dangerous heat on contact with water, making it far safer for manual handling at ETP sites and construction projects.
Industrial, Agricultural, and Food Grade (IS:1288) — one supplier for all your hydrated lime requirements regardless of the regulatory standard you need to meet.
High alkalinity makes it effective for heavy metal precipitation at pH 9–11, soil neutralization, and construction lime applications requiring consistent pH delivery.
Sealed HDPE bags give hydrated lime twice the shelf life of quicklime — 12 months versus 6 months — with no purity loss when stored correctly.

Industrial Use Cases
From municipal drinking water to food processing to road construction, hydrated lime is one of the most versatile alkaline chemicals used across India's industrial and agricultural sectors.
pH adjustment, alkalinity addition, water softening (removing Ca²⁺ and Mg²⁺ hardness), heavy metal precipitation, and sludge conditioning in ETP and STP plants.
Production of lime mortar, lime plaster, and lime putty for brickwork, rendering, and heritage building conservation. Also used in lime-fly ash stabilized sub-base for roads.
Direct soil pH correction for acidic farmlands and acid-sulfate soils. Also used for pond liming in aquaculture to maintain pH 7.5–8.5 for healthy fish and shrimp production.
Nixtamalization of maize for tortilla and masa production, sugar juice clarification, drinking water pH adjustment, and calcium fortification in food-grade applications (IS:1288).
Dry and semi-dry injection of hydrated lime into flue gas streams for SO₂, HCl, and HF removal at power plants, incinerators, and cement kilns — effective at lower reactant cost vs soda lime.
Traditional lime wash for interior and exterior surfaces. Also used as antimicrobial white wash for poultry farms, dairy sheds, and food processing facility walls.
Alkali reagent in production of calcium stearate, calcium hypochlorite (bleaching powder), calcium carbide, and various organic chemical synthesis processes.
Deep soil stabilization for road foundations, airport runways, and embankments — hydrated lime reacts with clay particles (pozzolanic reaction) to improve bearing capacity and reduce plasticity.
Application Rate Guide
Hydrated lime dosage is highly application-specific and depends on inlet water chemistry, soil conditions, or process parameters. These are industry-standard reference ranges — always confirm with jar testing, titration, or site-specific trials before full-scale deployment.
Our process engineers provide free lime dosage calculations for ETP plants, soil projects, and flue gas systems. Just share your inlet conditions and we'll estimate the optimal dose.

ISO 9001:2015 certification means every stage from quicklime selection through controlled slaking, air classification, and QC testing is documented and audited — ensuring grade-to-grade consistency.
High-purity CaO feedstock (>92% CaO) is chemically assayed and approved before entering the slaking process — the foundation of final product quality.
Precision water-to-lime ratio in controlled slakers ensures complete hydration — producing uniform Ca(OH)₂ with minimal unreacted CaO and no overslaking.
Grit separation removes unslaked particles. Air-swept milling achieves consistent D90 ≤ 150 microns fineness for all dosing and spreading applications.
Air classifiers ensure on-spec particle size distribution — eliminating coarse grit that causes dosing pump blockages and uneven soil spreading.
In-house lab tests Ca(OH)₂%, CaO equivalent, moisture, MgO, fineness, and pH on every batch. CoA issued before packaging approval — no exceptions.
Moisture-proof HDPE bags with inner PE liners prevent Ca(OH)₂ carbonation in transit. CoA and MSDS attached to every pallet before loading.
